October 10 to November 1, 2005
Between these dates, any registered voter may apply to their county election official for an absent voter's ballot.
October 24, 2005
Voter registration closes.
November 1, 2005
The last day to file applications for absent voter ballots.
November 2, to November 8, 2005
Absentee Ballots-Late Conditions On or between these dates,
any voter may apply in writing for an absent voter's ballot if he
or she will unexpectedly be unable to go to the polls on election
day. The voter may designate any authorized representative to
return the voted absent voter's ballot.
November 8, 2005 - Election Day
On this date, all polls shall be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Also, the last day county election officials may receive ballots cast
by absentee voters by mail or in person. Absentee voter ballots must be
received by 8 p.m. at any polling place in the county in which the
voter resides or at the office of the elections official.
Election Priority
Make sure members of your family, friends, and neighbors are
registered to vote by the October 24, 2005 deadline. If they will
be out of town or away at school on election day, they will need to
file an application for an absentee ballot on or before November
1st. Their absentee ballot must be returned by 8 p.m. on
November 8, 2005 at any polling place in the county in which the voter
resides or at the office of their county elections official.
